The Make Me Better Podcast – Season 2 Premiere (Featuring Me!)

Today is an exciting day! I’m honored to be the Season 2 premiere guest on the Make Me Better Podcast with Misty, and I truly had an amazing time recording this conversation.

Misty invited me on to talk about the journey behind my three books—Adulting 101, In Case I Die, and Making Waves—and the real-life experiences that inspired them. Let’s just say… this interview gets real.

We talked about the challenges, unexpected turns, and difficult seasons of life that led me to write these books in the first place. None of them were written from theory or perfect circumstances. They came from walking through hard things, learning along the way, and deciding to share those lessons with others.

Even though life threw a lot at me in a short amount of time, those experiences ultimately shaped me and helped make me stronger. That’s exactly what this podcast is all about—how the trials we go through can actually make us better.

If you’ve ever wondered:

  • Why I wrote Adulting 101
  • The deeply personal story behind In Case I Die
  • What inspired Making Waves
  • Or how difficult seasons can turn into purpose

…then this episode dives into all of it.

Misty did such a great job creating a space for honest conversation, and I was honored to be her first guest of Season 2.

I hope you’ll take some time to watch it and let me know what resonates with you most. Conversations like this remind me that even when life is messy or painful, there’s always the possibility that those experiences can shape us into something stronger, wiser, and more compassionate.

And sometimes, the things we go through don’t just change us—they become the very things that help someone else.

Thank you for continuing to support my books and the stories behind them.
